Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
– Mary Oliver
Beyond your wildest dreams, hours away from anything remotely close to the hustle and bustle of civilization, Big Creek Lodge & Resort opens up a comfort zone in the great outdoors. It's a wilderness adventure with a perfect place to land.
It's not only a feast for the eyes up here. It's actually quite a feast. Focused on healthy, filling cuisine to fit backcountry tastes, our menu changes often depending on what's in season and inspiring us.
If it was easy to get here, it wouldn't be Big Creek. An epic adventure from the get-go, the middle of nowhere is a pretty fitting way to put it. Luckily, we can provide you some direction, whether you drive or fly in.
Here is another road update sent in to us within the last week.
"We went in via Warm Lake - Landmark - YP - Profile Creek - Big Creek. This route is good as far as The Red Metal Mine Road Intersection with the Profile Creek Road. From that point to the Big Culvert (aka the intersection with the old road to the Cleveland Mine) the road has solid snow cover as of 5/31/21, From the Big Culvert to Edwardsburg (aka Big Creek) the road is mostly clear of snow. Rubber tired ATVs have made the trip over Profile Gap to Big Creek last weekend. Based on our past experience on tired ATVs, travel by tired ATVs is easiest in the early morning while the snow is stiffest, and lower tire pressure helps a lot. But it is soo easy on tracks we don't do that any more.
The portion of the trip from the Red Metal Mine Road intersection to Belvedere Creek (about 1 mile south of Jacob Ladder Flat) has not been cleared of trees wide enough to pass full sized vehicles." ... See MoreSee Less
